Privacy policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

This policy is from Wholesome Story LLC ("Wholesome Story", "we", "us"). It tells you what personal information we collect at wholesomestory.com (the "site"), how we use it, who gets it, and what choices you have. Personal information is information that identifies you or that can reasonably be linked to you.

We sell to customers in the United States. Our products are for adults.

If you live in Washington or Nevada, please also read our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.

Your choices in short

  • To opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for advertising: open Your Privacy Choices, or switch on Global Privacy Control in your browser.
  • To stop marketing emails: click "unsubscribe" in any email. To stop text messages: answer STOP.
  • To see, correct or delete your information: write to hello@wholesomestory.com.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact and account information: your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and your account password.
  • Order information: the products you buy or subscribe to, the amounts, your discount codes and your returns. Our payment providers handle your card number. We do not store it.
  • Health-related information that you choose to give: your answers in our product quiz, and what you write in a message, a chat, a survey or a product review. Because of the products we sell, your orders can also suggest a health goal.
  • Messages: what you send to our customer service team, and your marketing choices.

Information we collect automatically

  • Device and online identifiers: your IP address, cookie identifiers, your browser and device type.
  • Activity on the site: the pages and products you view, your searches on the site, what you put in your cart, the links you click, and the page that sent you to us.
  • Session recordings: we use Microsoft Clarity. It records how visitors move on a page (mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and the pages viewed) so that we can find and fix problems on the site.
  • Approximate location: the country, state and city that your IP address suggests. We do not collect precise location.

Information from other companies

  • Our service providers (for example our store platform, payment, shipping, email and reviews providers).
  • Advertising and analytics partners (for example a report that an advertisement led to a visit or an order).
  • Partners in our affiliate and ambassador programs.

2. How we use information

We use personal information:

  1. To take, ship and support your orders and subscriptions, and to run your account.
  2. To answer your questions and give customer service.
  3. To suggest products, for example through the product quiz.
  4. To send you marketing emails and text messages, when you signed up for them.
  5. To show and measure our advertisements on other sites and apps.
  6. To understand how the site is used, to test changes and to make the site and the products better. In a test, different visitors can see different versions of a page or an offer.
  7. To show reviews and to ask you for a review.
  8. To keep the site secure, to stop fraud, to follow the law and to protect our rights.

3. Who gets your information

Service providers. They work for us and can use your information only for that work:

  • Store, checkout and payments: Shopify, Shop Pay, Amazon Pay and the payment company you choose at checkout.
  • Shipping and fulfillment providers and carriers.
  • Email and text messages: Klaviyo.
  • Customer service and chat: Re:amaze.
  • Reviews: Yotpo. Product quiz: Quiz Kit. Site tests: Intelligems.
  • Analytics: Shopify, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity.
  • Affiliate and ambassador programs: Shopify Collabs.

Advertising partners. Their pixels and cookies on our site collect online identifiers and your activity on the site (pages viewed, items put in the cart, orders). They use it to show you our advertisements and to measure them: Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google and YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, Microsoft Advertising (Bing), Amazon, OpenAI and Tapad. Some state laws call this a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or "targeted advertising". You can opt out (section 5).

Others. We also give information to professional advisers, to a buyer or successor if our business or its assets are sold or merged, and to government bodies or courts when the law requires it or to protect people or our rights.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

4. Cookies and similar tools

Cookies are small files that a site stores in your browser. Pixels are small pieces of code that report an action (for example a page view) to a company. We and the companies in section 3 use them:

  • to make the site work (your cart, your login, your privacy choice);
  • to remember your preferences;
  • to measure and improve the site (analytics and session recordings);
  • for advertising.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site then do not work. To stop the advertising use, see section 5.

5. Opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising

You can opt out in two ways:

  1. Open Your Privacy Choices and follow the steps. The same link is at the bottom of each page of the site.
  2. Switch on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser or browser extension. Our site recognizes the GPC signal and handles it as a request to opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising for that browser.

Your choice applies to the browser and device you use. If you clear your cookies or use another browser or device, opt out again.

Do Not Track. Browsers also have an older setting named "Do Not Track". There is no common standard for it, and our site does not respond to it. Use Global Privacy Control or the link above.

6. Your privacy rights

Many US states give their residents rights over their personal information. The rights depend on the state where you live. We answer a request from a person in any US state in the same way when we can. You can ask us:

  1. To know and to get a copy: which personal information we have about you, where it came from, why we use it and who gets it.
  2. To correct information that is wrong.
  3. To delete your information. The law lets us keep some of it, for example order records for tax.
  4. To opt out of sale, of sharing for advertising, and of targeted advertising (section 5).
  5. To limit the use of sensitive personal information. We use sensitive information (for example health-related information and your account login) only to give you the products and services you ask for and for the other purposes that the law allows without this right.
  6. Not to be treated unfairly because you used a right.

We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone that have a legal or similarly important effect.

How to send a request

  • Email: hello@wholesomestory.com with the subject "Privacy request".
  • Phone (toll-free): (833) 803-6540.
  • Mail: Wholesome Story LLC, 732 S 6th St, Ste R, Las Vegas, NV 89101, USA.

Tell us your name, the email address you used with us, the state where you live and what you ask for. We confirm that the request comes from you with the email address or order information we already have. A person you authorize (an agent) can send the request for you. We then ask for proof that you gave the permission.

We answer within 45 days. If we need more time, we tell you why within those 45 days, and we then answer within 45 more days. Requests are free, up to two times in a year.

Appeal. If we say no, you can appeal. Answer our email, or write to hello@wholesomestory.com with the subject "Privacy appeal", and say why you do not agree. We answer in writing within 45 days. If we still say no, you can complain to the Attorney General of your state.

California. This section and sections 1 to 5 are also our notice at collection. In the last 12 months we collected the categories of information in section 1 (identifiers, customer records, commercial information, internet activity, approximate location, inferences, and sensitive personal information that you gave us) from the sources in section 1, for the purposes in section 2. We disclosed all of these categories to service providers. We "sold" or "shared" identifiers, commercial information and internet activity to advertising partners, as section 3 describes. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of people under 16. California residents can also ask one time each year which personal information we gave to other companies for their own direct marketing (the "Shine the Light" law).

Offers for your email address or phone number. We sometimes give a discount when you sign up for our emails or text messages. The discount is our estimate of the value of your sign-up to us. You can unsubscribe at any time.

7. Marketing emails and text messages

We send marketing emails only when you signed up or when the law allows it. Each email has an "unsubscribe" link.

We send marketing text messages only when you agreed to them at sign-up. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates can apply. Answer STOP to stop, or HELP for help. Your agreement to get text messages is not a condition of any purchase. We do not give your phone number or your text message consent to other companies for their own marketing.

8. How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes in section 2. We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting rules ask. We keep a record of your marketing and privacy choices so that we can respect them. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, and we choose providers that do the same. No website or transmission over the internet is fully secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

10. Children

Our site and products are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not direct the site to people under 18. If you think a child gave us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

11. Visitors outside the United States

We sell and ship to the United States only, and we keep and use information in the United States. If you visit the site from another country, your information is sent to and used in the United States, where privacy laws can be different from the laws of your country.

12. Links to other sites

Our site links to other sites, for example retailers and social media. Their privacy practices are their own. Read their policies.

13. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we publish the new text on this page with a new "Last updated" date. For an important change, we also put a notice on the site or send an email.
