Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 8, 2026
This policy is from Wholesome Story LLC ("Wholesome Story", "we", "us"). We sell dietary supplements and teas at wholesomestory.com.
This policy tells you how we collect, use and share consumer health data. It adds to our Privacy Policy. It is written for the Washington My Health My Data Act and for the Nevada consumer health data law (Nevada Revised Statutes 603A.400 to 603A.550). The rights in this policy belong to people who live in Washington or Nevada, and to people whose consumer health data we collect in those states. We answer a request from a person in any other US state in the same way when we can.
1. What "consumer health data" means
Consumer health data is personal information that is linked to you, or that can reasonably be linked to you, and that identifies your past, present or future physical or mental health status. The laws name examples such as health conditions, symptoms, bodily functions, the use or purchase of medication, and reproductive or sexual health information. Information about health that is worked out from other information (an inference) can also be consumer health data.
We sell products that people use to support their health, for example fertility support and hormone support products. For that reason, some ordinary store information about you can show or suggest something about your health. We count that information as consumer health data in this policy.
2. The consumer health data we collect
We collect these categories:
- Information you give us about your health. Examples: your answers in our product quiz (your goals and how you feel), what you write in a message, a chat, a survey or a product review, and what you tell our customer service team.
- Order and product information. The products you buy, put in your cart or subscribe to, when the product can suggest a health goal. Example: an order for a fertility support tea.
- Browsing information on our site. The product pages and articles you view, the searches you make on our site and the links you click, together with online identifiers (a cookie identifier, your IP address, a device identifier), when the page can suggest a health goal.
- Inferences. A health interest that could be worked out from categories 1 to 3. We do not try to work out a medical condition from what you view or buy. We do use your orders and visits to suggest products and to send you offers that fit them.
We do not collect biometric data or genetic data. We do not collect precise location data. We do not ask for medical records.
3. Why we collect it and how we use it
We use consumer health data for these purposes:
- To give you the product or service that you ask for: to take and ship your order, to run your subscription, to show your quiz result and to answer your question.
- To suggest products that fit your answers, your orders or your visits.
- To send you marketing emails or text messages, when you signed up for them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To show and measure our advertisements on other sites and apps (see sections 5 and 7).
- To understand how people use our site and to make the site and the products better.
- To keep the site secure, to stop fraud, and to follow the law.
We do not use consumer health data for a purpose that is not in this policy unless we tell you first and, where the law asks for it, get your consent.
4. Where the data comes from
- From you: when you place an order, fill in the quiz or a form, write a review, or contact us.
- From your browser or device: through cookies, pixels and similar tools when you use our site.
- From companies that work for us: our store platform, our payment, shipping, email, reviews, quiz and customer service providers.
- From advertising and analytics partners: for example a report that an advertisement led to a visit or an order.
5. The consumer health data we share
We can share each category in section 2:
- With companies that work for us (processors). They get the data they need to do their work for us: your orders, your contact data, your quiz answers, your messages, and browsing information on our site. They can use it only for our purposes.
- With advertising partners. They get browsing information and order information from our site through their pixels: the page or product you viewed, what you put in your cart, what you ordered, and online identifiers. Some can also get your email address or phone number in a coded (hashed) form to match you to an account. We do not send them your quiz answers, your messages or your reviews.
We do not sell consumer health data for money. Some laws use the words "sale" or "sharing" for the way advertising pixels work. You can stop that sharing at any time (section 8).
6. Who we share it with
Categories of third parties and processors:
- Store platform, checkout and payment providers (Shopify, Shop Pay, Amazon Pay and the payment company you choose at checkout).
- Shipping and fulfillment providers and carriers.
- Email, text message and customer service providers (Klaviyo, Re:amaze).
- Reviews, quiz and site testing providers (Yotpo, Quiz Kit, Intelligems).
- Site analytics providers (Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics, Shopify analytics).
- Advertising partners (Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, Microsoft Advertising, OpenAI, Tapad).
- Professional advisers, auditors and insurers, when they need the data for their work.
- Government bodies and courts, when the law requires it.
- A buyer or successor, if our business or its assets are sold or merged.
Affiliates: we do not share consumer health data with any affiliate. An affiliate is a company that shares our brand and that controls us, is controlled by us, or is under common control with us.
7. How we process the data, and collection by other companies
We collect the data through our online store, which runs on Shopify, and through the tools named in section 6. We store it in the systems of those providers. We limit access to the people and providers who need it for the purposes in section 3. We use it by hand (for example to answer your message) and by automated means (for example to send an order email or to suggest a product).
Other companies collect information on our site. When you use our site, the advertising and analytics partners in section 6 can collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites and online services, through cookies and pixels.
8. Your rights and how to use them
You have these rights for your consumer health data:
- To confirm if we collect, share or sell it.
- To get a copy of it (access).
- To get a list of all third parties and affiliates with whom we shared it or to whom we sold it, with an email address or other online way to contact each one.
- To withdraw your consent, and to ask us to stop the collection and the sharing.
- To have it deleted. We delete it from our records and we tell our providers and partners to delete it too.

11. Changes to this policy
When we make an important change to this policy, we publish the new text on this page with a new effective date before the change starts. If the change adds a new category of data, a new purpose or a new kind of sharing, we also tell you by email when we have your email address, and we ask for your consent where the law asks for it.
